Villa Caterina is situated in a spacious Mediterranean garden within walking distance of the old town of Cefalù (red umbrella on the right), the famous holidays hotspot on the north coast of Sicily.
Cefalu is popular for two basic reasons: its beautiful sandy beach and its historic old town.
Villa Caterina's proximity to the old town has a great benefit: within just 100m of the holiday apartments there are cafes, pizzerias, a supermarket, and a variety of shops.

Garden
Cefalù is known for its long sandy beach and its stone-built medieval Old Town. Villa Caterina's large Mediterranean garden likewise offers a wonderful contrast.
The quiet garden not only invites you to enjoy it for rest and relaxation, but in the summertime, it offers blissful shade. There are several different places to sit and enjoy – one favorite being the seat in front of the fountain of Neptune.
Those who need to do a little work online or who simply want to surf the web can even do so under the palm trees: Villa Caterina's garden enjoys Wi-fi coverage.

Facilities
Starting with the most important: the apartments' climate control not only cools in the summer, but heats in the winter. The Sicilian winter is comparable to an eastern European spring, and to feel more comfortable we sometimes turn the heater on.
Villa Caterina is the perfect place to spend your winter then under the Sicilian sun. Each holiday apartment has its own washing machine, so you don't need a giant suitcase for endless changes of clothes. The holiday apartments naturally have also all the usual amenities including TV and Internet.
Because it is close to the train station in Cefalù, Villa Caterina is also wonderfully convenient if you are enjoying your holidays in Sicily without an automobile. For those who will be using a car, for example, to travel on their own to the Madonie or elsewhere – there is free parking at the Villa.
Activities
Villa Caterina's holiday apartments are not only ideal for guests who are independent, but also for those who enjoy organized activities.
For all this, see Valerio Grüssner (on the right, and in the black-and-white photo below, background right). He manages the language school Solemar Academy in Cefalù as well as oversees the wonderful activities shown in the video – and he's always close by: Valerio lives in a nearby house at Villa Caterina.
The video was not only filmed with young people, but by young people. According to Valerio, it was done to correct the old cliche that holidays in Sicily are for people enjoying their later years, people who have retired and only now can enjoy the Sicilian sun, the hiking trails, and more.
